We know that bare stents are poor. We also know that plastic bypasses are worse than poor. I would therefore project that covered stents would be poor, although there is admittedly no specific data.

I would proceed as you have outlined, but if treatment became absolutely necessary, I might initially try the bare stent with adjacent coil routine before trying a covered stent.

In any event, I bet this doesn't need treatment. It is actually not that rare to see ectasia of the left innominate vein in a dialysis patient; I saw one yesterday. This is sort of an extreme case, but probably can be safely watched.
