Nice work to save the collaterals between SMA and celiac intact, although the celiac is quite indestructable and even if you had to sacrifice the pancreaticoduodenal arcade nothing would have probably happened.
There seems to be an association between celiac occlusion and aneurysm formation in the collaterals that may lead to bleeding (Imamura M et al. Pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysm with celiac trunk occlusion. Report of a case. Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, 1998 Oct, 39(5):565-7.)
In this case the reason for the bleeding was malignant ulcer.
