Assuming you had decided to take the plunge and place the stent, you should use any and all means to vasodilate the the vascular bed of the left arm and transiently steal as much flow from the l. subclavian distribution as possible. This should include pharmacologic as well as mechanical means. Reactive hyperemia (while I've never used it) is probably still the most effective means for increasing flow. (See Kadir).
