I suspect Dr. Gallman is correct. I used UK in the first couple of these without any significant improvement (but a bigger hospital bill!). Now I try first from an ipsilateral approach and primarily stent with a Wallstent. I open the stent in the infrarenal aorta, and then pull the funnel-shaped, partially deployed stent down to "trap" any clot in the ipsilateral CIA and hopefully prevent spillover into the other leg. Has worked so far. If I have to cross from the other side I will grab the over-the-hill wire with a snare and pull myself up from the ipsilateral side and proceed. Have just used aspirin post-procedure - no experience yet with other agents.

Question: Anyone been using the other flexible stents now available for these lesions?
