Probably the most important thing for developing a UAE service is developing a good relationship with one or more progressive-thinking Ob/Gyns. Needless to say, there is a TREMENDOUS amount of resistance in the Gyn community to this procedure, since it transfers a large chunk of their surgical caseload/income to IR. I think that things will start to break loose soon as the demand gets bigger.

Our first 30 cases are being presented at the AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy) meeting next week. I am in the process of starting a 1 day visiting fellowship for this procedure, and would welcome inquiries.
