I think I probably would have started with a gelfoam slurry then coiled it. You technically should not need a permanent agent here; you want to decrease the pressure head and let the body heal the ulcer. However, I have been burned too many times when I have not coiled the LGA as well. Had I used Ivalon I probably would have used 250-350 to avoid necrosis with the small end of the 150-250 range (necrosis has been reported with Gelfoam powder).
