I do-not consider PVA as permanent occluding agent.
My partner Dan Link has shown that after arterial embolization
PVA recanalizes (work published in JVIR). Small size PVA
may result in end-organ infarction. My approach to this case
would be to use a microcatheter and go as distal as you can
and then use microcoils until cessation of flow.
