It's interesting (as already pointed out by Dan Brown) that we normally do not inject thrombosed grafts (for fear of arterial embolism), and treat these grafts under the assumption that a venous stenosis (ie. protective stenosis) exists. Should we do more to document a venous stenosis before graft thrombolysis/thrombectomy? What's the cost/benefit of each method and its associated complication: arterial emboli vs. rare (yet not unheard of) massive PE?
