We have used the Memotherm a few times in biliary cases. It seemed to jump forward slightly when deployed and was not as visible flouroscopically as I would like. We also had problems with balloons rupturing as soon as we tried to dilate the deployed stent. I wonder if it because the design of the stent leads to some fairly sharp little points when the stent goes around a curve. Needless to say our initial experience with them was less than spectacular, however, we plan to try some more of these stents since the lack of major foreshortening seems like a major potential advantage.
