Good point about balloons which don't "grab" the stent. I personally
always use the Olbert balloon which is well-near perfect in its
ability to hold a stent without moving. Others however use different
techniques to help hold the stent including minimal "puffing" of the
balloon followed by deflation to add friction. Re: Black Diamond balloons,
prepping the surface with alcohol wiping and drying is recommended
because you are then removing the slippery coating.
At any rate, I still prefer the Olbert, having used it for hundreds of
Palmaz deployment cases....
