We had a patient with a 10-12 cm complex iliac aneurysm following
ligation and fem-fem x-over. This patient had a failing ipsilateral
renal transplant. I embolized with about a dozen coils and 10 movable core guide wires
(with core rmeoved). This caused somethrombosis but a second session was required when we
had enough coils in stock. This was effective. It is unclear from the images whether
a stent-graft would work but that would now be our favoured approach.

Coils seem to work well and I would noy consider another type of occluded for this
type of problem.

Follow-up - unenhanced CT - if no change in size that is OK, if getting bigger go
to angio for repeat embolization.
