These are very interesting lesions that in my experience can be
extremely resistant because I think that they are of the intimal form of
dysplasia (although we rarely if ever get path). I've had the opportunity
to attempt plasty on 6 of this kind of lesion (in children or young
adults) and only 2 arteries have had a successful clinical result
and even those looked crappy after dilatation result. I
ruptured one renal artery and the others had no lasting benefit.
