Would anyone be willing to comment on the importance of valsalva and tilt table use when doing ovarian venography for pelvic congestion syndrome? If no reflux is apparent on a selective venogram performed with the catheter in the orifice of the left or right ovarian vein, with the patient supine and no valsalva maneuver,
is it really necessary to go ahead and tilt the table or repeat the venogram with valsalva? Also, if no reflux is apparent on the left renal venogram, is a selective left ovarian venogram necessary?
