The majority of studies with stenosis following venous stenting are in dialysis patients and the restenosis is related to the high flow from the AV access graft. The results of studies, albeit few of them, with venous stenting without surgical AVF or access grafts have been good and much better than surgical results. I would think using a stent to contain the coils is a useful option. If loath to place a venous stent, one could partially deploy a wallstent and then try to recapture it after embolization.
