I agree, this entity receives little attention from most GYN's. In fact, we had two recent cases of obvious pelvic congestion syndrome and casually discussed how we had helped these women with two GYN's at lunch and they both rolled their eyes as if PCS didn't exist. The source of their eye-rolling is simply that PCS is often a dx of exclusion and they are difficult patients to manage/treat from their standpoint as a result. The reality is that we have ways to prove this entity and ways to treat it and they don't like it any more than they like fibroid embolization. I hope that primary care doctors can be made more aware of this thru our efforts.
