This is obviously a challenging case that you managed to handle without recanalizing the occluded portal vein. You managed to decompress a major collateral and decrease the chances of bleeding. The concern that I have is that the underlying portal feeders (splenic vein and SMV) have not been decompressed and other portal-systemic collaterals will pop with similar clinical result: bleeding. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next few months.
