Another job well done. Stents are great for palliating malignant disease. If obstruction was truly in 3rd portion of duodenum, all other options would have left the patient with bilious output from G-tube (with associated electrolyte and digestion issues). I think the price of the stent would probably be exceeded by one episode of GJ tube falling out with transfer to hospital for replacement.
