I know my comments are late here, but I was catching up on my cases when I came across this one. I agree with the comments that these lesions could be treated percutaneously, but I think it's an overstretch of our desires to do procedures to state that we'll fix the kidney, and then let her go to surgery for the pheo. Open ligation of the fistula would be a chip shot, and in the worst case, would require tying off the renal artery. Surgical renal bypass has an excellent long term result. The result of renal PTA in the face of an AVF is unknown (to my knowledge anyway). If this relatively young and healthy woman is going to have her Pheo removed surgically, I would vote for surgical correction of the kidney as well.
