We've had a case that we managed by preoperative thrombolysis and then intra-operative venography at the time of first rib resection. This allowed us to see that the vein was still narrowed after resection, and prompted an on-table angioplasty of the lesion with a good result. The potential advantage of this is that allows early identification and correction of inadequate decompression.
