I recently had a patient with a liver metastasis being worked up for liver resection and one with chronic liver disease being worked up for transplant. Both had creatinine levels between 2.0 and 2.5 which could not be improved with hydration and/or med treatment. I performed Percutaneous CO-2 Portography on both patients obtaining excellent images of the portal vein and would compare them favorably to contrast images.Have you had any experience or have you heard reports of CO-2 Portography?
