Nice case. We don't have any experience with the Schneider device but it looks a helluva lot better than sewing Z-stents together on our desk! This is the first case I know of using a stent-graft for acute abdominal aortic injury/rupture. The natural history of an "undetected" AAA traumatic rupture will never be answered. I would expect that the small pseudo aneurysm component will completely be absent on spiral CT in 6 months. Do you know for sure whether the aorta was injured by blunt trauma or by an inadvertent nick of a surgeon's scalpel during ex lap and bowel resection?
