Charlie, you guys must get all the great venous cases from all over the West. Fantastic result and I think exactly the appropriate intervention was performed. The patient had life style limiting venous claudication and needed to have something done. Reconstruction with stenting is probably equivalent to surgical venous bypass and much less invasive. It looks like a chronic occlusion and Urokinase was probably not needed but doesn't hurt. Although you try to avoid stenting across joints, you have to do what you need to do and I don't think you will run into too much of a problem with a flexible stent such as the Wallstent and we haven't had any problems with them so far across the elbow or in the axilla. Hope she continues to do well.
