I have used gelfoam torpedoes in several cases and I feel it is the best agent for ovarian artery embolization when the ovarian arteries supply significant fibroid tissue. I have had 2 cases were patients did not want future pregnancy and I embolized both ovarian arteries to try and get the best effect.
