I beg to differ; I see about one a year of these. This fistula will enlarge over time, and if it steals enough flow will result in occlusion of the bypass distal to the fistula with possibly catastophic results.
Coiling the fistula at the time of the original angio adds about 20 minutes to the procedure and has virtually no downside; all other methods of occluding the fistula are more invasive and confer no advantage.
